KIBAKI indirectly attacks UHURU and RUTO

Sunday October 28, 2012 - President Mwai Kibaki indirectly attacked Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto terming their alliance as tribal based.

Addressing Kisii residents at Gusii stadium during the silver jubilee celebrations for Kisii Catholic Church on Saturday, Kibaki advised Kenyans to do away with tribal politics and vote for performers.

“It is not a must that you elect your friend or tribesmen. There are those that you can discard even if they are your allies,” Kibaki charged.

The Head of State also urged Kenyans to use their votes wisely to decide who will build the country.

“You are free to choose your next President and I am wishing you a successful election,” Kibaki said.

Although Kibaki acknowledged the need for one to have friends, he said leadership could not be decided on that basis.

“It is good to remember your friends even if you become President. If you don’t have one, look for some for you may need them,” Kibaki paused amid applause from the mammoth crowd that had turned up for the function

“If you don’t want somebody, leave them alone for they may be useful to you later or you may discover that you are one in the wrong,” Kibaki philosophically said.
