Sunday October 28, 2012 - Starehe MP Bishop Dr Margaret Wanjiru is a besieged woman.
Even after she managed to convince Prime Minister Raila Odinga to offer her direct nomination for the Nairobi’s governor seat, not to defect from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), she is having a rough time within.
A camp linked to Nairobi Mayor George Aladwa and gubernatorial aspirant Dr Evans Kidero has vowed to frustrate her efforts to be ODM‘s governorship candidate.
Last week’s mammoth rally at Dandora where Wanjiru was booed and heckled as the PM watched was quite discomforting.
A source close to the Starehe lawmaker said Wanjiru is reviewing her options before making a “major announcement” this week.
