Jakoyo MIDIWO says that state house wants to RIG ELECTIONS

Sunday October 28, 2012 - Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chief Whip Jakoyo Midiwo has said there are plans by some people in the executive to rig out the people’s choice in the forthcoming general election.

Speaking at rally in Bondo on Saturday, Midiwo, who is also Gem MP, said there is plan to replace the Registrar of Political Parties Ms Lucy Ndung’u with the aim of interfering with the elections.

“Somebody in the Office of the President is trying to ruin the next elections but he should know that we are awake,” Midiwo said.

Midiwo said there is also a ploy to deny identity cards to people who applied from Nyanza, to block them from participating in the general election.

“There are people including some aspiring for political seats, who applied in February and have up to date not received the document,” he said.
