Wednesday, the 24th of October 2012 -United Republican Party presidential aspirant William Ruto has taken an apparent swipe at ODM aspirant Raila Odinga by claiming that the eagerly awaited March 2013 elections will be about "those who call themselves reformers versus performers who focus on solutions."
Ruto’s statement is a thinly veiled attack on Raila because the ODM aspirant has labeled himself a reformer who fought all comers to ensure that Kenya got a new constitution in 2010. The rest of the competition (latest was Peter Kenneth) hasn’t taken Raila’s words kindly and has recently been aiming verbal volleys at him.
Ruto’s comments can also be taken to mean that he is now getting closer to embracing TNA’s Uhuru Kenyatta while spurning ODM.
