Three presidential aspirants met in Nairobi Thursday to plot strategy ahead of the next General Election.
Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Party of Action (POA) leader Raphel Tuju and Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa held discussions at the Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi. Also present was Energy minister Kiraitu Murungi.
Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka sent a representative.
Speaking after the meeting, Mr Tuju said that the politicians were meeting as presidential aspirants determined to have peaceful elections.
"We have formed a technical team to establish how we can work together as political parties," Mr Tuju said.
The meeting comes a day after Mr Kenyatta's The National Alliance (TNA) signed an agreement with three other parties at the same venue.
On Wednesday, TNA signed an agreement with Party of National Unity (PNU), Alliance Party of Kenya (APK) and Grand National Union (GNU). The parties agreed to support Mr Kenyatta's presidential bid.
The TNA party leader and Mr Wamalwa have been in talks for a possible joint ticket.
