Miss America 2011 visits Kenya to promote Children Programs

Teresa Scanlan the American beauty pageant title holder is visiting Kenya.She arrived to
      unprecedented gathering in Kipsebwo, Nandi Hills, Kenya yesterday morning.
      Miss Scanlan who is from Gerig, Nebraska, was named Miss Nebraska 2010,
      subsequently winning Miss America 2011 and becoming the youngest Miss
      America. A sponsor and director of the Imani Community Development Inc.,
      Miss Scanlan is visiting Kenya and Africa for the first time.
During her visit to Kipsebwo, she will be visiting with the children she sponsors
      through Imani, their families and schools, and will be meeting with
      various leaders as well as interview with various media houses. As Miss
      America, she has been a spokesperson and advocate for many other organizations
      and causes including the Heart Association, and the American Cancer
      Society.
