Miguna's proposed sinister visit to Kisumu

We, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), wish to draw the attention of the members of the public to sinister machinations by one Miguna Miguna, working in cahoots with our adversaries, including but not limited to the National Security Intelligence Services (NSIS), to stage manage affray against himself and blame it on ODM and on our Party Leader, Rt. Hon. Raila A. Odinga.

Mr. Miguna Miguna is the man who has recently authored and published unfriendly propaganda against the Prime Minister Raila Odinga, with the self-proclaimed objective of “derailing the Prime Minister's quest for the Presidency in Kenya's next General and Presidential Election.

While Mr. Miguna has recently stated that he intends to travel all over the country on a mission to vilify the Prime Minister, he has conveniently chosen Kisumu as one of his first ports of call. Under the guise of ostensibly marketing a book, his objective “ together with his well-known sponsors“ is to get himself into stage-managed trouble and fish martyrdom and heroism from this.

This is a sinister, offensive and lowly ploy. It is common knowledge that Mr. Miguna's so-called book is a dead duck that has fallen flat on its face and no amount of "marketing" will make Kenyans buy it.

ODM wishes to call upon party members and supporters everywhere to ignore the Miguna farce with the contempt it deserves and to refrain from any engagement with him, whatsoever. You should not allow yourselves to be sucked into this sinister and stage-managed self-affray by Mr. Miguna and his masters. In the end, this wickedness will perish on its own decay. For our part, we shall remain focused on our mission to make Kenya a free, fair and just society. We shall not relent.
