I will keep funding ODM until RAILA is the PRESIDENT - Bishop Wanjiru

Wednesday August 22, 2012 - Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has dismissed claims that she was planning to ditch Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to The National Alliance (TNA).

Speaking on Tuesday at her Continental House office, Wanjiru who is also the Housing Assistant Minister denied claims that she gave the Premier a list of demands for her to stay ODM, saying  they were just rumours out to mislead ODM supporters.

“There are people working hard to get Central and Rift Valley out of ODM. They are trying to fuel seeds of discontent. If they did not manage to bring me down in 2010 they will not now,” Wanjiru said.

She said that she was in a good relation with Mama Ida Odinga and she is an ardent supporter of Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential quest.

Bishop Wanjiru funded ODM with Sh 25 million during the 2007 general election and has vowed to continue funding the Orange party until Raila becomes the Head of State.

Wanjiru declared her allegiance to the Premier saying he is the only leader who is able to take Kenyans to the Promised Land.

The Minister urged Kenyans to open their eyes and see beyond those politicians who divide them along tribal lines.
