Helicopter ACCIDENT in Mara….2 DEAD

Wednesday, August 22, 2012 - News just in indicates that two people have died while 6 others injured in a helicopter accident at the Masaai Mara National park in Narok County.

According to the Kenya Red Cross reports, the two people who died are the pilot and his co pilot, three of the injured victims are critically injured and have been transferred to hospitals in the area.

The helicopter is said to have been on transit from Mombasa to Mara when it made an emergency landing at the Mara airstrip. Police are on ground investigating the cause of the accident though poor visibility and technical failure are the probable causes of the accident.

Reports on the nationalities of the victims have not yet been released.
