PRIME Minister Raila Odinga’s wife Ida Odinga has challenged girls to put more effort in their school work to ensure they dominate top positions in this year’s national examinations. She said the education of girls in the country is gaining momentum every year and the fact that two girls were ranked among the top ten nationally in the just released KCSE exam results is a clear indication that girls are not leaving anything to chance. "Alliance Girls High School, Moi Girls High School Eldoret, Kenya High, Mary Hill Girls High School, Pangani Girls and Starehe Girls Centre have lifted the spirits of the thousands of girls who always work hard to kill the out-fashioned belief that a woman’s place is in the kitchen,’’ she said.
