In our headline story yesterday titled 'Jonathan Moi denies killing Julie Ward', we erroneously stated that former Maasai Mara chief warden Simon Ole Makallah had died since the killing of the tourist. We have now established that Makallah is alive and resides on his Kilgoris farm. We regret the error.
In another story titled 'Arrest warrant issued against cemetery scandal suspect', we mistakenly wrote that former Nairobi Town Clerk John Gakuo authorised payment of Sh283.2 million to Naen Ranch for the irregular purchase of cemetery land in Mavoko. We wish to clarify that Gakuo is not facing any abuse of office charge related to such a payment. In fact Gakuo is only facing one charge of failing to terminate the tender process.
