So far no arrests have been made but police are optimistic that they will catch up with the culprits.
Imenti Central OCPD Sylvester Githungo is calling on area residents who might have any information that may led to the arrest of the culprits to report to the police.
Speaking  on Monday to KBC on phone, Githungo assured the area residents that security has been beefed up to ensure their safety.
The eight victims were hacked, stabbed and their throats slit during the Saturday night attacks. Two others are admitted at Nkubu Mission hospital in critical condition.
