Share/Save/Bookmark Makadara MP Gideon Mbuvi was in a hurry last Sunday. The man who seems to attract attention everywhere he goes arrived in his usual flamboyant style when the congregation at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jericho were in meditation before receiving the Holy Sacrament. Escorted by his well built bodyguards, Sonko was introduced to the congregation by a woman church official who said the MP was there to give a harambee pledge he had made to the church. In short shrift, Sonko apologised for interrupting the service but explained that he was in a hurry and could not wait for the service to end because he still had to visit other churches in the constituency on the same day. He then produced two cheques of Sh100,000 — one  from Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and the other from Eldoret North MP William Ruto. He did not give any donation from himself. The MP said he had no apologies to make over his behaviour in recent weeks which has attracted negative press. He insisted he will continue to do as he likes because he fears only God. Sonko's speech was applauded by the congregation prompted by the female church official as he and his entourage walked out.

Former Vice President Moody Awori is said to be seriously considering plunging back into politics in 2012. The man is considering running for senator or governor of Busia County. Uncle Moody is reported to be consulting people on the ground before making a formal announcement. The former Funyula MP lost his parliamentary seat in 2007 to current Sports minister Paul Otuoma.

Speculation is rife that Moses Kuria is set to end his long spell of silence this week and announce that he has quit as the PNU spokesman.  The spin doctor who is said to have been instrumental in creating the G7 Alliance is now believed to be working overdrive on a political party that will formalise the alliance of VP Kalonzo Musyoka, DPM Uhuru Kenyatta, PNU’s George Saitoti, William Ruto, Eugene Wamalwa, Aden Duale and Chirau Ali Mwakwere.

One of the people interested in running for governor of Nairobi was recently overheard telling some of his friends of his elaborate campaign machinery plans. Kevin Malinga aka Kevo, the flamboyant businessman, was overheard saying he had already mustered a campaign war chest of over Sh 2 billion as he believes the duel to control Nairobi will be "the mother of all battles". He also talked of plans to fly to the US to finalise plans with his supporters there who had promised to lease for him two choppers for use during his campaigns.

  1. I think that we need new leaders. people who have not been there before. The Kevo guy sounds like a good potential candidate.

  2. I've been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
