A top politician from Western Kenya is being accused of illegally selling sandalwood.  Exports of the sweet-smelling wood have been banned because the plant is threatened with extinction in Kenya. But sources at the Kenya Forest Service say stockpiles of the plant, normally held by the government after being seized from illegal  exports, are slowly disappearing from government custody, are are being re-exported illegally.

Former MP from Central is counting his losses after a group of councilors he was supporting for the Nyeri mayoral elections were defeated buy civic leaders allied to a cabinet minister who is his political rival. The former MP claims to have spent close to Sh1 million in campaigns ahead of the mayoral elections but he is now regretting that he should have kept the cash and use it for his own campaigns come 2012.

Corridors yesterday told you about a CEO of blue chip companies, who will soon be blacklisted from travelling to European after stashing close to sh 4 billion in a offshore account. We have been informed that the the offshore accounts were  opened Mauritius and the amounts were a bribe he received while entering into a joint venture with a company associated with one of the European governments. Investigators from the European country attempted to access the CEO but were prevented by his powerful political friends.

Surprise of Surprises! A developer in Nairobi's Harambee Estate has constructed a school on land  set aside for a police station. Residents are now wondering what happened to the Police container that was on the land. They want  KACC to investigate the transaction that took away property belonging to Internal Security Ministry.
