Share/Save/Bookmark MPs have raised over Sh1 million to fund this year’s national prayer breakfast meeting to be held on Thursday. Chairman of the Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast Gideon Ndambuki told the House that this year’s prayer breakfast will be held at the Safari Park Hotel.
He said all MPs will be required to attend the annual event that started nine years ago after the Narc government took over power from Kanu. The programme's first chaplin is Gachoka MP Mutava Musyimi who was then a vibrant general secretary of the National Council of Churches of Kenya.
President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga are expected to participate in the event whose significance in the country has diminished over the years.
