Share/Save/Bookmark Former Kamukunji MP Simon Mbugua who is extremely bitter afterlosing the PNU nominations to Yusuf Hassan shas shifted loyalities and is now working hand in hand with ODM candidate Ibrahim Ahmed Johnnie. But the man who was a staunch PNUist has been careful not to share the podium with the ODM bigwigs or attending the campaign rallies in the constituency.

A top lawyer and politician, whose son was accused of raping  a neighbour's daughter reportedly paid Sh2 million hush money to the girl's family to keep the matter away from the police. The out of court settlement was arrived at during a deal negotiated by a family member, who is known to be closely associated with the judiciary. The politician opted to pay the hush money instead of having her son spending the next three decades in jail. What we are left wondering is— what about the victim?

The eerie silence from the direction of Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka on the nomination of Dr Willy Mutunga as Chief Justice has perplexed some of his supporters. Two MPs were yesterday overheard complaining that the VP’s lack of leadership on the matter which they claimed was directly touching on Eastern Province where he comes from shows a vaccum which should be filled.

An attempt by a certain politician from Western Province to secure an emergency loan from a Sacco in parliament became a nightmare after his colleagues in the Sacco apparently declined to guarantee the man citing his previous abrasive behaviour. Most MPs approached by the MP to act as his guarantors refused giving lame excuses.
