Share/Save/Bookmark Several people who attended the seventh anniversary of the late Ukambani political kingpin Mulu Mutisya did not have any kind words for Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka who was chief guest. Some of them, especially those who suffered punctures as they drove on the dilapidated section of the road between Machakos town and Wamunyu were overheard wondering out loud why Kalonzo, considered to be the chief beneficiary of Mulu’s political benevolence should expect to be allowed to govern the country when he cannot even honor his late benefactor with a smooth road.

An MP from Central Kenya is disgusted by threats by Special programmes Minister Esther Murugi to publicly strip naked if Uhuru Kenyatta is indicted by the International Criminal Coirt. Murugi's sometimes outrageous public statements have so scandalised her colleagues that they have decided to tell her off—in private of course.

The daughter of a Cabinet minister might soon find herself on the wrong side of the court once ongoing investigations into a racketeering scam are concluded. The young woman might be forced to pay the political costs for the minister when she appears before the court.

A ten year old incident in which a current commissioner thoroughly beat his seven- month- old pregnant girlfriend before throwing her down the stairs is still hanging over his head. The woman, who is a prominent personality in her own right, decided not to pursue the matter. However, his enemies are now threatening to make public the incident in an attempt to influence his work in the commission.

Flamboyant PNU activist Stanley Livondo did not want to be left behind as MPs trooped to the Royal Netherlands embassy to apply for visas to 'sindikiza"(escort) the Ocampo Six as  they go to the Hague. Livondo's big show was just that—apart from his passport, he did not have the proper documents to support his visa application such as tickets for the flight, travel insurance, hotel bookings etc. Told the documents were needed if his application was to be successful, Livondo promised to be back in ten minutes. He has yet to present his application!
