Uhuru Grilled Over Japan Plot

Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta was today grilled by a parliamentary departmental committee on his ministry's involvement in the controversial purchase of the premises housing the Kenyan embassy in Japan for 1.5 billion shillings. Uhuru said the sale lay squarely in the hands of the Foreign Affairs Ministry and added there were several other diplomatic transactions that have also been carried out without involving his Ministry.
