Starehe By-Elections

The air is thick with political expectation in Starehe constituency where the stage is set for the forthcoming by-election as the most visible aspirants prepare to be cleared by the IIEC on Wednesday. It is widely expected that the immediate former mp Margaret Wanjiru and her predecessor Maina Kamanda will narrow the fight for the seat to a two horse race, but residents insist it will not be business as usual this time, rather than voting in leaders based on parties they say they will vote in a leader capable of addressing the major challenges they face in Starehe.
