Veteran politician and business man, James Njenga Karume, and Zulfat Mukarubega, of Rwanda Tourism University College, were part of the congregation conferred with degrees for their service to the community, during the 2nd graduation ceremony of mount Kenya university. Speaking during the ceremony, higher education minister William Ruto, affirmed the government's commitment of expanding private and public institutions of higher learning, in order to ensure that majority of students do not miss out on higher education opportunities. This comes as over 80, 000 students who sat for their k.c.se exams last year, stand to miss out on accessing higher education. Hellen Kimaru reports.
