No Concedes: Ruto, Churches

The no team conceded defeat in the just concluded referendum poll, deviating from what appears to be a Kenyan tradition, where the losing team usually refrains from accepting such fate. Led by Higher Education Minister William Ruto the political wing of the no team announced that it had accepted the results and would not challenge them, as the yes votes doubled the no votes on screens at the national tallying centre. The team together with the former President Daniel Arap Moi and the clergy however vowed to continue their quest to press for amendments on the contentious clauses in the new constitution.
