Kibaki, Raila, Moi Referendum Statements

The defining moment for the nation is finally here as Kenya will wake up to vote in just under 10 hours to affirm or reject the proposed constitution. In a televised address to the nation, President Mwai Kibaki urged all who registered as voters to take part in the exercise without fail. Prime Minister Raila Odinga also sent a statement to newsrooms saying that tomorrow's decision is too important and demands the input of every Kenyan of the voting age. Former President Daniel Arap Moi also asked Kenyans to vote peacefully bearing in mind that we will not have a winner or loser at the end the exercise but victory for the entire country. Sylvia Chebet has more details on the addresses of the three statesmen.
