President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in Lusaka, Zambia, for a two-day State visit.
Uhuru was received by his host President Edgar Lungu and the Kenyan High Commissioner to Zambia Ambassador Sophy Kombe at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport on Friday.
The President and his host will focus on strengthening cooperation and also discuss the Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation (JPCC) between the two countries.
Zambia seeks to learn from Kenya how to enhance its tourism potential while Kenya stands to benefit from Zambia’s vast mining experience.
During his visit, the President will officiate the opening of the 51st Zambia International Trade Fair.
Uhuru will also hold discussions with the founding father and first President of Zambia, Kenneth Kaunda.
Uhuru was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Amina Mohammed and other senior government officials.
