Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and Senator Johnstone Muthama on Wednesday came face-to-face during the Wiper Parliamentary Group meeting at the party’s headquarters in Nairobi.
And speaking on the sidelines of a press conference after the meeting, Mr Muthama accused Dr Mutua of “being a Jubilee mole” since he was against Cord policies.
CORRUPTION CLAIMS
“He has always been a Jubilee member who worked as the government spokesman under the former Head of Public Service Francis Kimemia,” he said.
“His (Dr Mutua’s) political affiliation is just a drop in the ocean and investigations (by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission) on corruption against him and some MPs allied to the governor will soon bear me out,” Mr Muthama said.
He, however, said Dr Mutua was not his enemy but he would continue to play his oversight role in the county.
Asked to respond, Dr Mutua said: “There is a time for everything under the sun.”
