Narc K leader Martha Karua, Former anti graft Tzar John Githongo and Richard Leakey have joined Cord Principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula in a meeting before the kickoff of the one million signature for the referendum campaign.
The launch of the campaign, Okoa Kenya, kicked off at Ufungamano house in Nairobi on Tuesday, a day after the coalition chances were boosted by a win in Mathare by elections.
Cord committee of expert led by lawyers Paul Mwangi, Kethi Kilonzo, Beatrice Kituyi and human rights activist Khelef Khalif is yet to make public the three referendum questions that Kenyans will vote on after the collection of the one million signatures.
Raila in the past has said the coalition will focus on disbandment of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, insecurity and addition of funds to the counties to at least 40 percent of the national revenue.
Governors have also come up with their own separate referendum push with 10 key things they want changed in the new constitution that was promulgated in August 2010.
Jubilee led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto has poured water on the push for a change in the law terming it a clamour for political relevance.
