dala drama150814Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s son, Fidel, recently shocked rugby fans during the Kisumu Dala 7s when he joined them in attacking motorists on the pitch. Hell broke loose when some vehicles drove across the rugby pitch towards the stand, angering the tournament’s officials.
Fidel, who is the Chairman of Kisumu Rugby Football Club, joined other officials of the club and fans in attacking some motorists who had invaded the ground.
Fidel who was accompanied by heavily built men managed to stop one of the vehicles in the middle of the pitch and is alleged to have jerked open the car’s door and forced the driver out.
When the owner of the vehicle, Eugene Mutisya came out, he was roughed up by the team and part of his car’s windscreen smashed. “Many cars drove onto the pitch, why is it that Fidel only attacked mine? This is unacceptable,” Mutisya told Heads Up.
The incident irked many fans as Fidel tried to iron the issue out. “There was a better way to handle the matter. Fidel should not have involved himself,” said Arnold Adewa.
