That Charity Ngilu has told off Cord leader Raila Odinga over land issues is a subject that formed heated debate in an upmarket bar between a governor and four MPs from Eastern and Nairobi. The politicians were surprised by how Ngilu has been acting tough against the opposition chiefs yet when she was facing graft allegations and the EACC was pursuing her, she ran to Raila for help. "How times change!" said the governor as he watched Ngilu talk on TV.

Is ODM planning a tit for tat game? We are told that the opposition has been compiling a dossier on some "corrupt" Jubilee cabinet secretaries. The team working on the document is getting help from some senior people in the government to dig up dirt about the secretaries. ODM hopes to make the dossier public if the government goes ahead to "harass and intimidate us".

A communication officer for a county government in Nyanza is under siege. The former journalist was recruited by the County Service Board against the wishes of the Governor. Sources told Corridors that the gentleman has not settled and has no office. Because of the standoff, the communication office has remained meaningless with the governors speeches drafted by the Chief of Staff.

Just what did comedian Walter Mungare alias Nyambane do in Kisii in his brief stint as the Director of Communication? All the county executives are so unhappy with the man that they breathed sighs of relief when he left. Nyambane shortly after joined Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero's team but even there he has been rubbing most people the wrong way. One wonders how long he will survive the corridors of City Hall!
