The 10-man rotation, starring how Doc Rivers can help the Los Angeles Clippers

the league and the Web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Clipperblog. Michael Shagrin takes a look at several different offensive wrinkles, including inbounds plays and clever little screens, that Doc Rivers' Boston Celtics teams used and that could help loosen the at-times stagnant Los Angeles Clippers offense this season. (And here, in the interest of balance, is where we remind you that Doc's Celtics teams finished in the top half of the league in points scored per possession just once in the last four seasons and were among the NBA's 10 least efficient scoring teams in each of the last two years.)

PF: ESPN New York. A really cool story from Jared Zwerling about New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith's years-long friendship with a Cherry Hill, N.J., fan with Down syndrome. It's a very different sort of off-court story than we typically read about J.R., and it's great.

SF: Sactown Royalty. Indisputable coin-based schedule analysis (#schedulenalysis) that theSacramento Kings will win 47 games next season. Don't you dare dispute it. Quarters, like ball, don't lie.

SG: Grantland. An interesting read from Zach Lowe on the heightened value of second-round picks under the 2011 collective bargaining agreement and the various contract options (and threats) NBA teams are using to try to lock up top talent at below-market prices.

PG: NBA.com. Steve Kerr pinch-hits for David Aldridge on the Monday "Morning Tip" column, offering a handful of potential suggestions for altering the format of the NBA draft lottery to keep teams from basically punting on seasons in the interest of securing higher draft picks.

6th: Hardwood Paroxysm. If you doubt that Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is a hard worker and a focused dude, you really need to read through Ananth Pandian's detailed tracing of the big man's social media pursuit of an actress he's had a crush on for years.

7th: Style Points and Dunk360. A pair of actual fashion critiques of Russell Westbrook's eye-catching Teen Choice Awards ensemble.

8th: Wayne Washington Hoops. Nike's "Summer is Serious" ad campaign included thousands of ballplayers submitting videos of them showing their stuff in hopes of being chosen to participate in a pickup game captained by Kevin Durant and James Harden. Grantland's Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose reviewed some of the best dunk submissions, including those entered by Washington; in the process, Simmons made a couple of jokes about Washington's hair. That stuck in Washington's craw for a number of reasons, and his response is interesting and well worth reading, I think.

9th: HawksHoop. Sharp stuff from Bo Churney on the organizational shift that's taken place in Danny Ferry's stewardship of the Atlanta Hawks, the importance of having a culture where the general manager, head coach and roster are all in line, and the difference between one sixth-seeded season and another.

10th: Posting and Toasting. The 2013 version of Carmelo Anthony's annual charity softball game involved New York Knicks owner James Dolan playing second base, and there's some video of him batting and running. It's pretty funny.
