Mark Sanchez unbelievably throws pick six on first preseason series

You can't even make this up.
Mark Sanchez, the New York Jets quarterback often criticized for his mistakes who has drawn the ire of Jets fans (even getting booed at a practice), started the preseason by throwing an interception to a defensive end that was returned for a touchdown. On the Jets' first series of the preseason.
Yes, that really happened.
On a screen pass, Sanchez's intended target got held up at the line. Sanchez felt pressure coming from his right, so he threw the ball, for some reason, right in the direction of Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah. Ansah grabbed the pass and ran in for a 14-yard touchdown. The Lions' first-round pick was playing in just his first preseason game, but he might never have another touchdown that easy.
As for Sanchez, this is why Jets fans are at wit's end with him. He couldn't even make it through five minutes of the first preseason game without his first head-scratching mistake. To Sanchez's credit, he rebounded after the interception and played pretty well. He completed 10-of-13 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown, along with that ugly pick.
