Friday, the 15th of March 2013 - The Senator-elect for Machakos County Johnston Muthama has today claimed that his life is danger and called upon the Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo to reinstate his security detail.
This development comes hot on the heels of Muthama’s arrest last evening regarding comments he made at a rally in Kibera on Wednesday that allegedly bordered on hate speech.
Muthama recorded a statement with the police and was quickly released. The rally in Kibera was the first to be held by the CORD coalition ever since it lost last week’s Presidential election to the Jubilee alliance.
More to follow.
