Lands assistant minister Bifwoli Wakoli, the former MP for Bumula constituency, has lost his seat to newcomer.
Mr Wakoli, who was defending his seat on a Ford Kenya ticket, lost to Boniface Otsyula of New Ford Kenya.
Mr Wakoli has served the constituency for two terms after first being elected to parliament in 2002.
Speaking after being declared the winner at Bumula Secondary school tallying centre, Mr Otsyula said he will ensure proper service delivery to the people.
He was accompanied by Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa
In Mt Elgon, former MP John Serut is firmly in the lead with more than half of the votes cast already tallied.
Mr Serut, an independent candidate, will likely rebound to parliament if he manages to trounce immediate former MP Fred Kapondi of URP.
Former PS Ken Lusaka is poised to win the Bungoma county governor seat after garnering more than 70 per cent of the total votes cast with more than half of the votes already tallied.
His challenger Assistant Minister Alfred Khang'ati was trailing him with less than 20 per cent.
Trade minster Moses Wetang'ula was commanding an early lead for the Bungoma senate seat with more than half of the votes having been counted.
His closest challenger for the seat Musikari Kombo was trailing him with 35.3 per cent.
Wetang'ula, according to a survey by the Nation, was leading in most polling stations in Bumula, Tongaren, Webuye East, Kabuchai, Sirisia and Kanduyi constituencies.
Kombo, on the other hand, was leading in Mt Elgon and in his Webuye west stronghold.
Former Kimilili MP Dr Eseli Simiyu who was vying for the newly created Tongaren constituency seat is eyeing victory with over 70 per cent of the votes tallied in more than half of the polling stations.
Nairobi businessman Suleiman Murunga was declared the winner of the Kimilili parliamentary seat with 14,307 votes.
ODM Bungoma county chairman John Waluke was poised to win the Sirisia parliamentary seat.
Former Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi was also leading with votes from almost all polling stations already tallied.
Ford Kenya party officials led by the County campaign chairman Henry Wasilwa protested against the presence of Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa in Bungoma county.
Wasilwa said Wamalwa was allegedly intimidating polling officers and forcing them to announce results in the favour of candidates on his New Ford Kenya party.
