Friday February 8th 2013 - There was drama in Embu’s TNA offices when presiding officers and clerks that conducted the just concluded TNA party nominations stormed the party offices demanding for their pay.
The angry protesters wondered why they have not been paid their dues three weeks down the line whereas they were supposed to be paid immediately after the exercise. There effort to communicate to the party headquarters ended in smoke since nothing seems to be forthcoming.
They claim they are yet to hear from their party leaders who have since been very slippery and at times unreachable. However, the group has been contacting TNA’s County chairman Mr. Jamal Runyejes about their predicament but nothing of value comes out only empty promises which they claim they are getting used to.
Speaking separately, the County chairman Mr. Runyejes dismissed the claims saying he is in touch with the party headquarters and that their issue will be sorted out very soon. Although he downplayed the allegation that all the presiding officers and clerks in the county had not been paid, according to him only a few clerks had not been paid.
