Mike SONKO down plays KALONZO’s influence and record in Ukambani

Sunday February 10th 201 - TNA’s Nairobi senatorial candidate Mike Mbuvi alias “Sonko” has faulted Kalonzo’s leadership in Ukambani and moved to assure the Kamba community that their interest will be safeguarded and that he will represent them in the Jubilee government.

Addressing a rally at Kithumani in Makueni yesterday, Sonko took issue with the Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka who is also from Ukambani for letting the Kamba community down. He said the VP has a poor development record in the region despite being in leadership for almost three decades.

Sonko cautioned the people of Ukambani against electing leaders without vetting them. He warned the people against supporting other coalitions since their interest is not safeguarded in their manifestos. He asked the people of Ukambani to support Uhuru’s presidency since he has a clear agenda for the region.

However, he expressed his love for Kalonzo but categorically stated that people of Ukambani come first before anybody else. He called for unity among the leaders in the region in order to alleviate hunger and water problems.
