FRANCIS KIMEMIA in more TROUBLE over the multi-billion tender he cancelled

Friday February 22, 2013 - The Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet Francis Kimemia is a troubled man. This is after ZTE, a Chinese Company threatened to take him to court over a multi-billion tender he cancelled recently in the Ministry of Internal Security.

The company wants to sue Kimemia for contempt of court accusing him of interfering with a case that is already ongoing between ZTE and Huawei Technologies over tendering in the Ministry of Internal Security.

The tender for supplying police communications and surveillance equipment has been a court battle between the two companies with ZTE claiming to have fairly won the multi-billion tender, but it was cancelled under unclear circumstances something that prompted them to move to court.

The company is now accusing Kimemia of secretly rooting for their rival to win the tender because of some vested interests.

Kimemia cancelled the over sh20 billion tender saying the cost was inflated by some Ministry officials who want to make profit.
