MUDAVADI and WAMALWA urged to join RAILA’s CORD or they DIE POLITICALLY

Monday December 31, 2012 - Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi and Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Eugene Wamalwa have been urged to join Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) if they want to remain relevant in politics.

Led by Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula, the Luhya leaders asked the two to join CORD or they lose the upcoming polls.

Wetangula said the two were duped by the Jubilee coalition into believing that Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto would support them.

Wetangula, who is also the Sirisia MP, also disclosed that Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo, who has since quit the Pambazuka alliance, has shifted his allegiance to the CORD team.

He said the only way to consolidate the Luhya vote and lock out the Jubilee coalition from the region was by Mr Mudavadi and Wamalwa joining the CORD alliance.

“We don’t want to gamble with the Presidency of this country and that is why we are going remain firm in CORD which is a winning team,” Wetangula said.
