The Amani Coalition on Sunday said the case pitting four Kenyans at the International Criminal Court (ICC) will be brought back if elected to power.
Presidential candidate Musalia Mudavadi said it was a shame that Kenyans were being tried overseas yet there is a competent judicial mechanism in the country.
“I Musalia Mudavadi voted for local tribunal in parliament to try the 2008 post-election perpetrators," he said.
Speaking in Elgeyo - Marakwet County after addressing a series of rallies in Chesoi and Kapsowar towns, Mudavadi asked Kenyans to consider electing him the fourth president arguing that he would unite the country.
He said his candidature will diffuse the political temperatures between the Jubilee and the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord).
“Vote for me as your president and I will pour cold water on these two crooks, Jubilee and Cord. The way they are engaged in politics is unhealthy and Kenyans would consider our Amani Coalition as the best team to take the country’s leadership," he said.
He took issue with Prime Minister Raila Odinga saying his politics suggested he was full of vengeance.
“Presidency is not a simple seat as it is an entity with enormous responsibilities including being the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the entire police force. How can we give leadership to people full of temper," asked Mr Mudavadi.
He said his government would ensure revenue was equally allocated to each of the counties and ensure devolution was implemented with a view to improving the local economy of Kenyan citizens.
Security in the banditry prone North Rift will also be key in his presidential agenda.
“I would want the children in Baringo and Elgeyo - Marakwet where banditry is rampant to enjoy peace and rest at night like children sleeping in Nairobi’s Muthaiga,” he said.
