BY LEONARD KORIR
Presidential aspirant James ole Kiyiapi has called for the resignation of Education minister, Mutula Kilonzo and his Finance counterpart Njeru Githae for failing to resolve the teachers and lecturers strike.
Prof Kiyiapi said it was sad that while more than 15 million learners  were suffering, the Government appears indifferent.
He said the two ministers have no business being in Government if they have no solutions, adding the strikes should be declared a national disaster.
“The two have totally failed and they should be sent packing to pave way for sober brains to unlock the stalemate. This country has been held hostage by the Government, which seemed unbothered,” said Kiyiapi.
Speaking at Osinoni in Kilgoris during the burial of former Uasin Gishu Ward Councillor, Mzee Tampushi, Kiyiapi petitioned President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga to give direction on the matter.
