WILLY Mutunga’s continues doing Kenyans PROUD


Tuesday August 7, 2012 - The ongoing Judiciary surgery by Chief Justice Willy Mutunga got its new face on Monday, after he appointed eight new High Court judges.

Sixty eight applications were received and 28 candidates shortlisted.

Those appointed are William Musyoka, Nancy Kamau, Jairus Ngaah, Francis Muthuku, Martin Muya, Ester Maina, Lilian Mutende and Grace Ngenye.

The positions were declared vacant by the Judicial Service Commission following the dismissal of six judges by the Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board for impunity related causes.

The six judges who were axed are, Riaga Amolo, Samuel Bosire, Emmanuel Okubasu, Joseph Nyamu, Jean Gacheche and Mohammed Ibrahim who were declared unfit so serve in the Judiciary.
