Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has pledged to enhance democracy in Kenya if elected president in the forthcoming General Election.
Mr Musyoka said democracy will be achieved when political parties transcend ethnic line by merging or coalitions.
"We cannot have 50 political parties and think that we are serious in the democratisation process. This country can at least do better with three or four major political parties," he said.
While addressing the press at Eagles Church in Karen, Nairobi, after attending the Sunday sermon, VP Musyoka his regime will be accountable and wastage of public resources will end.
Mr Musyoka said the Wiper Democratic Movement allies are prepared for the race and will not mind going into coalition with other like-minded political and individual parties.
He said the party will soon launch its manifesto and the agenda for Kenya highlighting among others a 24-hour economy, fight against hunger and poverty, jobs creation, ensuring economic growth, unifying the nation through integration and cohesion, assurance of security for residents and visitors.
To achieve a 24-hour economy, VP Musyoka said his administration will ensure employees work in shifts, others over the weekends, some during lunch hours while others at night.
He said that the government under his leadership would put in place policies geared towards economic reconstruction and employment creation among other areas.
VP Musyoka also urged Kenyans to elect the next president irrespective of tribe and political affiliations.

"Tribal affiliations should be fought from all aspects and voters should elect leaders not on tribal grounds but as a Kenyan," he said.
"I want to be the president of all Kenyans and for all political parties. Kenyans should rise above political orientations for the sake of the unity of our great nation," he added.
