Industrialisation minister Henry Kosgey returns to his office Monday where his major test will be working with senior officials who testified against him in his abuse of office case.
But the Tinderet MP on Saturday said he would work with all staff to execute the ministry’s mandate.
“I bear no grudge or bitterness against anybody. I will work with everybody,” said the minister.
“Let us go back to work, learn from our past mistakes, reconcile and move forward to build a united and strong country,” he told Sunday Nation.
While clearing him of the abuse of office charges in June, Mr Justice Nicholas Ombija ruled that the case was an error in law, and a result of bad blood between him and permanent secretary Karanja Kibicho.
“I thank the principals and Kenyans who have been praying for me. I am also grateful to my constituents for being patient,” said Mr Kosgey.
The MP, who is the ODM chairman, said the Friday re-appointment marked the end of a difficult time but he was “at peace because he had been vindicated”.
The move is a major boost for the ODM stalwart who has asked Prime Minister Raila Odinga to pick him as his running mate in the General Election. The re-appointment came two weeks after Mr Odinga toldSunday Nation that Mr Kosgey would return to his docket “any time”.
The Tinderet MP “stepped aside” from his office on January 4, 2011 to allow for investigations into the abuse of office allegations.

Besides the Kenyan case, judges at the International Criminal Court on January 23, declared that the prosecutor had not provided sufficient evidence to establish substantial grounds to believe that Mr Kosgey and former police chief Hussein Ali were criminally responsible for the post-election violence.
Mr Kosgey is expected to rally the Kalenjin vote behind ODM.
