Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta officially joined The National Alliance party Sunday promising Kenyans that his government would be accountable and responsible for all Kenyans should he be elected president.
Uhuru said that his government will be people driven saying that he will focus on the issues affecting Kenyans from the grassroots to the top level in order to come up with sustainable solutions.
"The National Alliance will lay emphasis on homegrown solutions to problems afflicting our nation of Kenya and the Africa continent as a whole. We shall engage with other leaders of the world to foster bi--]lateral relations and negotiate for economic opportunities that benefit Kenya,"he said.
Speaking at Kenyatta International Conference Centre when The National Alliance TNA was officially unveiled to the public, Uhuru expressed confidence that the country can prosper if issues such as tribalism, poverty, corruption eliminated.
The Deputy Prime Minister said TNA whose symbol is a dove will endeavor in promoting peace across the country and cautioned Kenyans against politicians promoting ethnic based politics.
He said that Kenyans must learn from previous mistakes that adding that it is time for the youth to take up leadership from the older generation.
The party was launched simultaneously in several key towns in Kenya as well key international centres among them UK South Africa and USA.
