An ODM minister collapsed and had to be resuscitated when he walked into a Nakuru hotel and found one of his wives in a compromising position with a High Court judge. The minister was lost for words, collapsed in shock and it took the intervention of the hotel staff to administer first aid. After he was picked up from the floor and regained his consciousness, the minister walked out without uttering a word.

All is not well at the Administration Police department. The AP interns are complaining over the delay by the government to remit their salaries for three months. They say their colleagues from the General Service Unit (GSU) and the regular police have been paid every month. So why is the government failing to pay the Sh15,740 salary?

People close to former Foreign Affairs Minister Moses Wetang’ula believe that his testimony before a parliamentary committee where he dismissed as forgeries the documents purporting to show the UK government was conspiring to have President Kibaki indicted by the International Criminal Court was one of the reasons that led to his transfer. Some of the minister’s confidants were overheard saying some individuals with influence at State House considered the denouncement of the documents as being pro-Raila Odinga and had initially recommended that he be sacked from the Cabinet altogether. However, a last-minute intervention by an equally powerful individual had Wetang’ula transferred to Trade ministry instead of losing the flag.

It was expected to be a major economic boon for the region but the planned Konza ICT village is breeding the exact opposite. The proposed city has led to a major feud between officials of two local authorities and local leaders. The bone of contention is the precise location of the ICT village with one group arguing it is under Machakos council while the second group maintains it is under Makueni council.
