Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere said the equipment will reinforce the capacity of the police to detect and prevent such attacks.
The Kenya Police has received an assortment of equipment to fight crime and boost surveillance from the German government.
This comes as the country continues to face serious security threats especially from the Somali Al Shabaab militia group suspected to be behind a series of deadly grenade attacks in the country.
Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere said the equipment will reinforce the capacity of the police to detect and prevent such attacks.
He noted that the equipment which includes 2 jeeps and a personal vehicle will assist in police mobility while computers and printers received will be used in forensic investigations as well as help fight cyber crimes.
Iteere called for patience as investigations into the Machakos country bus blast which left nine people dead continue.
The commissioner also urged the public to support law enforcement officers by availing useful information that will help in the detection and prevention of crime.
Last week, MPs accused the Government of ignoring the country's security and failing to detect and investigate crimes.
During a special session MPs faulted the police for repeatedly failing to forestall similar attacks in the past accusing the government of been quick to point fingers at the Alshabab Militia Group without evidence.
