Keep off our affairs, G7 tells Raila

Deputy Prime minister Uhuru Kenyatta, legislators William Ruto and Eugene Wamalwa took their presidential campaigns to Kitale with a call to Prime Minister Raila Odinga to keep off their affairs.
The G7 Alliance members said during a rally at Kenyatta Stadium on Friday that Mr Odinga was banking on the cases at the International Criminal Court to lock them out of the race.
The three defended their prayer rallies, saying they were meant to promote peace ahead of the General election.
“We are optimistic we will win the cases against us at the ICC. After the court process, we expect the real suspects to be held accountable for their role in the post-election violence,” said Mr Kenyatta.
Remain united
They vowed to remain united until the elections.
“We will accept the candidate who will win the nomination to carry the flag and those who think we are bound to part ways are in for a shock,” added Mr Kenyatta.
The leaders appealed to the youth not to accept being used by politicians to engage in violence.

Mr Ruto said the next General Election will be a contest of ideas and not a forum for pointing fingers at others.
“Leaders should address pertinent issues affecting Kenyans like poverty, unemployment and health issues,” said Mr Ruto.
Mr Wamalwa told residents of Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties to quit Ford Kenya and ODM, saying the parties had nothing to offer
