THE G47 political grouping has reiterated the need for alternative leadership saying the present presidential front runners lacked ideologies. It called on progressive Kenyans to get involved and steer the country to achieve its desired goal of a new dawn in leadership. Speaking yesterday to the press in Nairobi, the group's spokesperson Aukot Ekuro railed at at PNU and ODM leaders saying “the next president will not be one of those making the loudest noises currently".
Ekuro was accompanied by presidential hopefuls Paul Muite, Kamencu Kingwa and Bedan Mbugua, who he said are part of nine presidential hopefuls who share similar ideologies. Among its deliberations will be how to woo the much-coveted diaspora vote which the group says is composed of pro-change Kenyans willing to take part in nation building. He hailed the gains in the new constitution and challenged Kenyans to take advantage of its contents to defeat the current leaders. “God wants his country to change and that is why he gave us a strong constitution which is continuously destroying PNU,and ODM," said Ekuro.
G47 believes that a Raila presidency will not bring meaningful change, while Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto's bid will kill change. “Electing (Vice President) Kalonzo or (Deputy Prime Minister) Musalia is delaying change unnecessarily while electing Saitoti, Jirongo or Wetangula is corrupting change completely,” he said. Ekuro said Kenyans are yearning for a president they can trust, a government they can respect and associate with and one that can deliver change they can believe in.

  1. Bravo! The strongest advocacy for radical change yet. What remains is to identify a candidate to present this to Kenyans.
