 A  Senior cabinet minister whose ministry's parastatal has been sued , sent a judge handling the case a text message that read:" Ensure that this matter is dealt with immediately".  As if to intimidate the judge, the minister copied the text message to  a senior judge in the Judiciary. We are informed that the senior judge was a tenant of the cabinet minister before moving out.

We are told that construction workers working on President Kibaki's  1,000 acre home in Sasini estate are racing against time. The workers have been fencing the sh 500 million state of the art retirement home of the President at Mweiga within Sasini Estate, along Nyeri/ Mweiga Highway. The workers are hopeful that  the home will be ready for occupation in two months time.

A move by President Kibaki to sell part of his Rware farm to the government to build a district headquarters has hit a brick wall. We are informed that the issue was shelved after The First Lady Lucy Kibaki rejected the concept of selling off family treasures. Kieni leaders had petitioned the President to sell off part of his 1,700 acre farm for construction of Kieni East district headquarters.

The  CEO of several blue chip companies will soon be blacklisted from travelling to  European countries. We are informed that the CEO was involved in corruption activities running into sh 4 billion, which he stashed in offshore accounts.  Certain European countries have been running profiles of the man, who cuts an image of a successful businessman.
