Mbugua described the joint PNU/ODM-K nomination to be held tomorrow at the Bomas of Kenya as a plot to lock him out of the by-elections. All the parties including Mbugua’s PNU will be represented by 160 delegates.
He accused Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and some of his supporters in the PNU coalition of hatching a plot to terminate his political life over old petty grudges.
Mbugua, whose election was successfully challenged in court, warned that he will put up a memorable battle for his political survival and urged PNU bigwigs collaborating with his destructors to think about their own party. “It is a wide plot hatched by some big names in PNU to stop Mbugua. The people of Kamukunji who are supporting me will battle on with me to the bitterest end,”Mbugua said.
He claimed that some top PNU officials were part of plans to trick him to political oblivion by swaying him to participate in a collegiate election whose results he claimed was being stage managed.
