Disclosure of evidence against Ocampo six begins

Judge Ekaterina Trendafilova said the pre - trial chamber will rule on the matter diligently
The disclosure of evidence by the prosecution in the case against three of the Ocampo six has begun.
The disclosure commenced Monday morning at the Status Conference at the International Criminal Court courtroom 1.
Defense team for MPs Henry Kosgey and William Ruto and Journalist Joshua Arap Sang were present.
The prosecution released two documents to the defense team and the pre-trial chamber.
However, the prosecution told presiding judge Ekaterina Trendafilova that it wishes to disclose the evidence with redactions because some of the suspects hold powerful positions.
However, Lawyers David Hooper, George Oraro and Katwa Kigen said the prosecution should not hide behind protective measures for witnesses to have redactions.
Justice Trendafilova said the pre - trial chamber will rule on the matter diligently
The Status Conference for Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Head of Public service Francis Muthaura and former police boss Hussein Ali is underway.
Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta defence team consists of three foreign lawyers namely Queen's Counsel Steven Kay, Gillian Higgins and Benjamin Joyes.
Former Police Boss Hussein Ali lawyers are Evans Monari, Gershom Otachi and Gregory Kehoe. Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura is represented by Karim Ahmad Khan, Kennedy Ogeto and Muriuki Mugambi.
Eldoret North MP WilIiam Ruto has Kioko Kilukumi, Katwa Kigen and Kithure Kindiki.
Tinderet MP Henry Kosgey has engaged the services of George Odinga Oraro, Julius Kemboy  and Allan Kosgey while Radio Presenter Joshua Sang team of lawyers is led by Katwa Kigen, Kimutai Bosek and Kiptum Koech.
