Share/Save/Bookmark A Nairobi MP stormed Nairobi area police headquarters and began a fight with a senior police officer. It is not clear why the MP descended on the officer with kicks and blows but some junior officers believe that their boss must have taken some "protection fees" and failed to deliver on his side of the bargain. The MP walked out of the station with his entourage promising to return to deliver another "lesson" to the officer.

A youthful MP is at loggerheads with the widow of a former legislator. This is after the MP borrowed Sh1 million from the widow promising to repay within a few days but reneged on the agreement. Angered by the failure to get her money back, the woman confronted the MP shouting that the legislator made her take a bank loan in order to provide the man with the Sh1 million whose interest in now accumulating.

We are told angry supporters of two of the Ocampo Six now at The Hague confronted one of the Kenyans who also flew there to follow the cases accusing him of being behind the woes that have befallen the suspects. The man however demanded to be left alone saying he did not see why they were angry with him yet he had no influence at the ICC.

Kenya Anti-Corruption Commissions sleuths have once again descended on Narok Town Council and are this time focusing on councilors who have allegedly been milking money from the council. Sources in the rich county tell us that some councilors have committed all their salaries to two banks for mortgages and have been living beyond their means. Anti-graft detectives want to know how the civic leaders are managing to drive big cars and enjoy lavish lifestyles when they have nothing to take home at the end of the month.

We are told that some freelance journalists have been turning up at the weekly press conference conducted by Government Spokesman Dr Alfred Mutua with instructions from certain individuals to ask specific questions after which they are paid handsomely. The motive is to tilt information coming out to suit hidden interests and still give the impression that the briefings are free of self-interest.
