Ruto claims ICC process misused

By Peter Mutai

Suspended Higher Education Minister William Ruto on Saturday claimed that some politicians were working round the clock to use the International Criminal Court (ICC) process to favour them politically.

Ruto said those working to incriminate other leaders over the post-election violence were using the ICC process to position themselves strategically for the country’s future political positions.

Speaking at funds drive at Kericho Boys High School, the Eldoret North MP said it was now clear that the same people were using the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights to drive their agenda.

"Those who think they can change course of politics in this country using ICC process are doomed and they should start looking for other ways to achieve their selfish political interest," he said.

He said those bent on using propaganda through the media to malign other leaders thought that those implicated will just keep quite as their names are being maligned.
